The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm have signed quarterback Jevan Snead and wide receiver Amarri Jackson to one-year contracts, Head Coach and General Manager Tim Marcum announced today.

Snead, 6-foot-3, 230 pounds, gained national attention as a two-year starter at Ole Miss after transferring from the University of Texas where he served as backup to current NFL quarterback Colt McCoy. In 24 regular season career starts under center for the Rebels, Snead threw for 5,394 yards and 46 touchdowns, while also recording a 55.3 completion percentage during his time in Oxford.

A native of Stephenville, Texas, Snead led the Rebels to an 8-4 regular season record in 2008, as well as a victory in the Cotton Bowl Classic over the seventh-ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders in the school's first bowl appearance since 2003. The following year, he led Ole Miss to its second consecutive 9-4 season which included a second straight victory in the AT&T Cotton Bowl.

Originally undrafted, Snead signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League on April 24, 2010 before being released by the club on July 31 to make room for the 80-man training camp roster.

Jackson, 6-foot-5, 215 pounds, played three seasons with the University of South Florida from 2005-2007, amassing 70 receptions for 891 yards and five touchdowns. The Sarasota, Florida native played an integral role in a 45-14 victory over Louisville in 2005 after rushing for two touchdowns, throwing for an additional score and collecting two touchdown receptions. As a senior in 2007, he started in his team's first eight games before being sidelined to injury.

Prior to making his debut at the collegiate level, Jackson earned four varsity letters in football, three more in basketball and four in track as a student at Sarasota Riverview High School.

He has been signed twice by the Buccaneers, first as an undrafted free agent in 2008 and again as a training camp invitee in 2009, but was released from the club both times during training camp, prior to the start of the preseason.
